Is Everyone taking Crazy Pills?!? Shatner and Lin Duet

I’ve always liked the Shatner.  I’m no Sci-fi fan, but, for some reason, he cracks me up.  It probably started with his album “Has Been.”

Then I saw this. Now William Shatner will have a special place in my heart forever.  No idea why.

Let’s not forget Lin Yu Chun, the karaoke ice cream man.  If this were pro wrestling, they’d be holding big gold belts.

George Lopez, you may have earned yourself a new fan.

C2E2 Posts Coming Tonight

So, this past weekend, I strapped on my VIP badge and attended C2E2, Chicago’s newest Comic and Entertainment Convention.  How did it fare?  Did it blow Wizard World (the former Chicago Comic-Con) out of the water?  Thoughts and swag start rolling out tonight…

Music Monday: “Boxer” – The National

This week’s Music Monday selection is an old favorite:  The National’s Boxer.   The mood is very “I’ll never live up to the expectations of the ones I love,” while being articulate enough not to let the music be sluggish.  Don’t miss these tracks: Fake Empire,  Ada (which features Sufjan Stevens), and Slow Show (My favorite).  A solid album as a whole.

Music Monday!!

This is certainly not a new album, but it’s still a fantastic one.  I’ll be enjoying it as the Cubs kick-off their first home game of the season.  Plus, you’ve got to like anyone who can use another artist’s lyrics as an homage, without blatantly ripping them off (see “High Lonesome”).

God, I love baseball.  Strategy.  Action.  Anticipation.  Suspense.  It’s a game that requires skill and knowledge.  It never ceases to amaze me.
